We’re not completely positive when this interview took place but the glowing praise Steven Gerrard gave Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is off the scales.

Gerrard claims that had Brendan been his manager when he was a 24-year-old he’d be sitting back talking about all the medals they had won together such is his belief in the Irishman.

Stevie G bemoaned that unfortunately for him Brendan became Liverpool manager when he was 32 – in the back nine of his own playing career.

Have a watch.

Steven Gerrard has come up to Glasgow in search of managerial success with the basket case club we all know and love from Govan.

A big part of that decision will be the chance to pit his wits against Rodgers and at this point, we’re not sure if that bravery should be commended or he should be derided for stupidity.

Watch this space.
