It didn’t take long at all but the news today that Brighton have unceremoniously ditched their manager a day after the season is over means there’s a new man in the frame for the Celtic job.
The news broke this morning about Hughton’s departure even though he had kept the club in the Premier League and got them to the semi-final of the FA Cup. Hughton seems to be a victim of the Premier League culture with Brighton not appreciating what he’s done for them.
With the news, the former Newcastle  manager has now been installed as THIRD favourite to be the next manager of Celtic – behind Neil Lennon and Davie Moyes according to TheSackRace.
Celtic have given the media nothing when it comes to potential candidates. However, they must have drawn up a shortlist by now and will be speaking to potential candidates to feel out interest in the job. If Lawwell and Desmond are just sitting there waiting to unveil Neil Lennon as the new full time boss then they are doing the club a disservice.
Peter get Steve Clarke please.
Steve Clarke would do a big job for celtic that is for sure
God no ,CH is not the answer for our great club. We need to be aiming a lot higher if he ever got that appointment the board would feel the wrath of most of our support.
