English Premier League side Newcastle United are reportedly preparing a bid for Celtic star Kristoffer Ajer this summer.
According to the Mail Online, the Magpies are supposedly preparing a bid of around £8 million for the Norweigan defender as he edges closer to the end of his contract at the Hoops, having a year left in the summer.
Talk of Ajer leaving the club has come up once again this week after it was suggested by his international manager, Stale Solbakken, that he should move on from the club and test himself elsewhere.
Even though he is coming into the final year of his contract you would think a fee of £8 million which was suggested would be too little for the club to accept.
It has been mentioned a couple of times but as much as we would like to keep the central defender it is likely he will look to move on. So with the rebuild that is set to come, in both the playing squad and backroom staff the sale of Ajer could be crucial in helping fund that.
