BRENDAN RODGERS’ first signing of the January transfer window, Marvin Compper has set out his stall as he gets ready to give his new teammates a shot in the arm.

Celtic who have found real form hard to come by in the month of December will benefit from at least one fresh face after the winter break and Marvin is ready to make his opportunity count.

“The club is getting experience and quality in passing, my headers are fine, and I speak a lot on the pitch, I try to help the guys around me. High defending is what I’m used to. All these things I bring to the table and this is what they saw in me.” said the defender

A few eyebrows have been made at Rodgers signing a 32-year-old but when you consider Ajer looks to be the first pick alongside Marvin, having his experience could be valuable for the young Norweigan as well as the ream.

  1. Doesn’t Rogers know he needs a defender for Europe it’s awrite buying players I would go for Steven caulker and Liam moore cos they would be able to play in Europe I think Rogers just seems to be thinking about league and not Europe in his way of thinking as a celtic fan still not happy buys a player who cannae play in Europe then buys a guy then loans him back to St mirren makes no sense at all
