It’s safe to say Celtic fans and Neymar don’t have the best of relationships. For all the Brazillian’s talent, his attitude and the way he conducts himself on the pitch at times is abysmal.

Having seen him play against Celtic for Barcelona and PSG, the play acting involved in his overall gameplay is what turns many fans off the world class player.

However, even though Neymar doesn’t receive the warmest of responses when he’s at Parkhead – the forward was full of praise for the club as he talked up Timothy Weah’s loan to the Scottish Champions.

“It is a good move for him, a good move for Celtic as they are getting such a big talent, and also a good move for PSG because he has a chance to get experience and games and come back to us a more complete player.” Neymar told RecordSport.

“He did have options – but he chose the right one.

“Celtic are a big club, in their league they attack a lot and score a lot of goals, and also they are still in Europe – so they offer him much.

Timothy Weah is with the club until the end of the season and wants to make his mark while he’s here.

The frontman could start against Airdrie in the Scottish Cup with Edouard not training in Dubai and Issouf Bayo not joining up with the Celtic team until they were leaving the training camp.

It’s an exciting prospect, and hopefully, the player can hit the ground running.
