NIR BITTON has signed a brand new three and a half year deal with the club which will take him all the way until 2023.

The player’s deal was up at the end of this season and before signing these new terms, the midfielder would have been free to talk to clubs in January.

His new contract will see him reach ten years at the club by the end of it if he remains in Glasgow for the duration.

Nir has been a utility man for Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon over the past four or so years.

It was Neil who signed Nir for the club back in his first stint as manager and how it looks like the midfielder/defender is ready to give his best years to the club.

Chris Sutton and Celtic fans reacted well to the news, with the former Celtic striker hailing it as ‘nice business’.
