Nicola Sturgeon has been setting out the obstacles in the way of starting sport back in Scotland any time soon.
The hope for many is football can come back in some form or fashion within the next three or four months. However, Nicola Sturgeon has warned against this happening and even claimed closed door sports wouldn’t be an option because it would encourage people to gather.
If this hard line is taken and people can’t be trusted to not gather for sporting events then we’re in for a very long wait before football is back on our screens.
Nicola Sturgeon saying sports fans should not expect to be back to stadiums any time soon – certainly difficult until there’s a vaccine. Her CMO also against televised sports events resuming behind ‘closed doors’ – he warns it could encourage people to gather in groups to watch.

Celtic are champions in waiting — the club would prefer to finish the league on the pitch but that looks impossible right now.
Sturgeon has always been upfront with the Scottish people and has never gave any misguided hope that things will get back to normal in a short period of time.
Again, this pales into insignificance with peoples lives being lost on a daily basis. We must do everything in our power to save as many lives as possible — if that means no football for a long while — so be it.
