Nicolas Kuhn is on the move again this summer, with the former Celtic winger closing in on a loan switch to Borussia Monchengladbach.
A verbal agreement has been reached with Como over a straight season-long loan without a buy option, with the 26-year-old now undergoing his medical ahead of the move to Borussia-Park.
Sky Germany reports that Kuhn is completing his medical, with nothing formally signed at this stage.
The move comes just 12 months after Kuhn left Celtic for Como following an impressive spell in Glasgow.
The German spent 18 months with the Hoops and enjoyed an outstanding final season, scoring 21 goals and providing 15 assists in all competitions.
Those numbers helped earn him a move to Cesc Fabregas’ Como, but his first taste of Serie A failed to reach the same heights.
Kuhn managed just one goal and two assists in all competitions last season as he struggled to establish himself in the Italian side.
Now he has the chance to return to Germany and rebuild his reputation in the Bundesliga.
The move to Borussia Monchengladbach is not expected to provide Celtic with any financial benefit, with the deal being a straight loan and Como retaining the player’s registration.
However, Kuhn will have the opportunity to impress at the highest level in Germany and potentially put himself back in the shop window.
