The Celtic winger is on the cusp of fulfilling a goal he set during his time on loan from Bayern Munich’s B team to a second-tier Bundesliga club.

Kuhn is poised to participate in the Champions League following Celtic’s triumph in the Scottish Premiership last season. This victory secured them a spot in pot 3 of the Champions League, ensuring their participation in the group stages without the need for qualifying matches.

With the tournament’s new format, Celtic is guaranteed eight matches in the group stage, providing Kuhn ample opportunity to shine on Europe’s biggest stage. Reflecting on his ambitions, Kuhn shared with the Daily Record, “It was always the biggest dream I had, to play in the Champions League.

“I was on loan from Bayern Munich to a second-league team in Germany. I did an interview when I was there and I said that my goal is to one day play in the Champions League – and one day to get back in the national team.

“The first goal I hope I will reach next season.”

Kuhn won’t be available for Celtic’s upcoming pre-season game against Queens Park on Wednesday, but his focus is clearly set on the bigger picture as Celtic prepares to compete among Europe’s elite.
