Former Celtic winger Nicolas Kühn is experiencing another slow transition, this time in Serie A with Como.
Much like his time in Glasgow, where it took him nearly six months to find his stride before exploding into form with some dazzling goals, Kühn is again taking time to settle.
The German forward made the summer switch after impressing in flashes at Celtic, but has yet to register a goal or assist in five appearances for the Italian side, who currently sit eighth in the Serie A table with seven goals scored.
Kühn made his debut against Lazio, coming off the bench for just a minute. Since then, he’s seen more game time. 33 minutes vs Bologna, a couple of starts against Genoa and Fiorentina, and a 45-minute outing vs Cremonese. However, his influence has been limited, and he was left out of the squad entirely for Como’s recent match against Atalanta. [Transfermarkt]
Como’s attack has lacked a spark so far this season, and Kühn, brought in to offer flair and creativity, hasn’t yet been able to provide it. It’s early days, and Kühn has shown in the past he’s capable of growing into a role, but he’ll know he needs to find form soon to avoid slipping out of favour.
