REPORTS in Israel suggest Nir Bitton’s international career is over after bust up with head coach Elisha Levy.

Media in the country are reporting that a training ground bust up between the Celtic midfielder and his manager after it emerged that Nir would not be starting the game against Albania on Saturday. The twenty-five-year-old reportedly refused to run training drills after hearing the managers plans.

The Celtic midfielder has come under criticism from some Celtic quarters this season with many speculating that Brendan Rodgers is looking for a replacement in his position come January.

The midfielder’s international career looks to be on hold now as long as the current manager stays in the post. The player will hope that the door isn’t closed permanently and he can add to his 17 caps.

He will return to Celtic in the meantime.
