NIR BITTON has used his social media this evening to apologise to the Celtic support.

The defender was sent off at the end of the first half after losing his head for no good reason. Anders Dryer clearly tried to con the referee to win a penalty for his side, Nir Bitton told him to get up, the Midtjylland player shoulder barged the Israeli and then he’s lifted his hands to Anders.

Nir was already on a yellow at the time and should have walked away from the situation. Celtic were in a good place at the time and his sending off took all our momentum away, not to mention it cut short Liel Abada’s impressive debut.

On his instagram this evening, Nir has apologised for his actions.

The game ended 1-1 on the night.

Celtic will have to go to Denmark and win next week. They will not be able to call on Nir for the game who will be suspended.

Dane Murray, 18, came off the bench to have a solid game for Celtic and could keep his place in the side next week.
