NIR BITTON has praised Scott Brown after his Celtic career has ended. The players were regulars in the Celtic midfield at one point.

The Celtic captain departed a year before Bitton made his Celtic exit. Originally heading to the northeast to take up a player/coach role at Aberdeen, he’s now the manager of Fleetwood Town.

Bitton hasn’t forgotten what life was like in his early days at Celtic either, with the academy boys of then breaking into the first team towards the end of his Parkhead career.

When asked what the dressing room was like, Bitton replied; [Ynet]

“When I was 23 a lot of the players who play with me today played in the boys of the club, they were about 14 years old.

“They remember me, some of them would bring balls in our games, names like Michael Johnston.

“I played with a lot of great players, I had the most amazing captain “In the world, Scott Brown.”

Bitton had a decorated career at Parkhead. He clearly had a lot of influence in the dressing room, taking the captain’s armband on multiple occasions. He was the club’s vice-captain.

Bitton hasn’t decided on his future just yet. He’s described himself to be at a ‘crossroad’ between returning home or testing himself in another European country.
