Owen Moffat took to social media on Tuesday evening to correct what was wrongly tagged as an own goal according to the Celtic winger.

The hot Celtic youth prospect has been playing under Tommy McIntyre in the Scottish lowland league this term and has been making a name for himself.

The Colt side were away to Cumbernauld on Monday evening; Celtic running out 2-0 winners on the night.

The opening goal was credited as an own goal but Owen wasn’t having any of it.

We’ll trust Moffat and give him the glory!

Owen really came onto Celtic fans radar in the summer when he played some pre-season games under Ange. The youngster has a lot of talent and could be Celtic’s next breakthrough star under the right circumstances.

We hope to see him in and around the first team squad in the next 12 months. A season playing competitive football in the Lowland league should stand the winger in good stead.
