LEIGH GRIFFITHS will NOT be cited for his alleged stamp on Sam Woods at the weekend after the panel couldn’t come to a consensus on the issue to cite the player.

Neil Lennon has maintained his player’s innocence, while the usual suspects in the press have Leigh Griffiths banned for the rest of the season.

Sam Woods grabs Leigh’s foot and as he comes down there’s nowhere else for his foot to go but he makes sure his left leg takes the brunt of the weight.

This has been construed as a stamp by many people who don’t want to see Leigh start for Celtic.

SunSport writes: However, there was no consensus of opinion from the panel of experts that it was a red card so no further punishment is required.

Celtic won 4-1 against Hamilton at the weekend, Leigh grew into the game and was unlucky not to score himself. He won the free-kick which saw Hamilton go down to 10 men and Eddy convert it for the equaliser.

We can all move on now, can’t we…
