Much like the Kilmarnock game, it would be good if Celtic gave some more youngsters and fringe players a run out for the final game of the season.

Celtic will host Aberdeen this weekend as they get set to be handed their seventh consecutive trophy after the game.

Celtic were unlucky not to win the game against Kilmarnock on Wednesday  – a disallowed goal and an absolute sitter being missed by Jack Hendry meant the teams shared the spoils.

The youngsters and fringe players should not be deterred though, they came in and played a decent game against a Kilmarnock side with no intention of attacking.

The Ayrshire side didn’t even have any shots on goal, on or off target!

Aberdeen will be a stern test for the players looking to impress, with the Dons hell bent on securing second place they will surely attack the Scottish Champions in hope of getting the breakthrough.

If Celtic play their full strength team and anyone gets injured with the final in mind just a week on Sunday it would prove poor business for Brendan Rodgers.

It’s simple, play a young enthusiastic team with something to prove and keep most of the first team squad fresh for Celtic’s bid at history with a double treble.
