NEIL LENNON has set the record straight with the current state of play on Arsenal’s pursuit of Kieran Tierney.

The London club and reports down south thought they had done enough to convince Celtic to part with their star player at the weekend but much to Celtic fans relief, the club rebuffed the offer.

That’s two bids which have been thrown out by the Scottish Champions. Both deemed not good enough and not meeting the valuation of their defender.

Celtic are standing firm and Neil Lennon told Celtic fans it’s ‘as you were’ when it comes to Kieran’s situation. The Celtic manager also confirming there’s no discussion to be had at the moment until Arsenal get serious.

“The club’s valuation of Kieran has not been met and until then we don’t have a discussion to make,” Lennon told CelticTV.

“I don’t know what Arsenal’s financial state is. I know what ours is and we are quite comfortable with the situation at the moment.

“There has been a second bid, the bid has been rejected and it’s as you were.”

Celtic fans will be hoping to see the club stand firm this summer and hold onto one of our best players and best academy products in decades.

Kieran is a long term deal and there’s no hurry to sell. Celtic have history to make and most fans would love Kieran to be fighting on the front line to achieve our goals.
