The news that Kieran Tierney is not only been replaced by Izaguirre today but has not made the Celtic squad will have some Celtic fans concerned.
No doubt Brendan Rodgers will offer some clarity to fans before the kick off. Fans might have expected to see KT sit out the midweek game with today’s clash of the top two taking priority. There was no sign during the week that the defender has picked up any injuries and the rumour is that the left-back is feeling unwell.
Celtic have arguably their biggest game of the season so far on Thursday night. Understandably Brendan Rodgers will want a full strength squad going into that game and the hectic Christmas fixture pile up.
The Celtic manager has been punished before when tinkering with his squad too much and today’s game is of massive importance for domestic matters and team confidence. The rest of the starting eleven has been reset to it’s winning ways which means Brown and Ntcham start on the bench.
