REPORTS by USA based Journalists on social media last night sent some Celtic fans into a frenzy about the potential signing of 22-year-old Houston Dynamo Striker Alberth Elis from the MLS.
The striker apparently wants to move to Europe and Celtic were being touted as a possible destination for the young forward.

However, while social media can give birth to rumours, it can also stop them dead in their tracks, especially when they are a bit ‘out there’.

Celtic are in the process of bringing in two strikers to the club with Timothy Weah set to sign today and Bayo in close behind him.
With Leigh Griffiths due back at some point in the future and having French Eddy already on the books, there is no need for another striker in this window.
