LIAM MORRISON was reportedly on his way to Bayern Munich at the weekend to put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Bundesliga giants according to Football Insider.
More reports claim Celtic failed in a legal bid to stave off Bayern from stealing their 16-year-old defender.
However, according to Celtic’s assistant manager John Kennedy, nothing has been agreed as of yet and the club are still active in trying to convince Liam to stay at the club.
I know there’s been a discussion but we’re trying to sign Liam on a professional contract.
“There’s a lot of interest from elsewhere but nothing’s happened, nothing has been agreed, we’re still in the mix and we want to keep our players here.” Kennedy told The Herald.
Celtic have already benefited from Luca Connell not being on a professional deal at Bolton and Bayern are trying to do the same to them now.
Liam and his family will have big decisions to make, or maybe they have already done so.
The sooner his future is sorted the better for everyone. There are no guarantees in the Celtic setup just like there are no guarantees in the Bayern youth academy.
