BRENDAN RODGERS has told Celtic fans that Osdonne Edouard is ‘unlikely’ to play any further part of Celtic’s season after going off injured against Hearts.

The Frenchman had trouble with his hamstring at Tynecastle and was quickly taken off by the Celtic manager.

Rodgers was hopeful that it wouldn’t be too bad an injury but with only two weeks left of this season, the Frenchman looks unlikely to recover in time to play a part in the Scottish Cup Final.

“He’ll struggle for next weekend. It’s been unfortunate really for him. He’s got better and better as the season has gone on. He’s probably going to struggle between now and the end of season.” said Rodgers.

“He’s adapted very well, you see his qualities. It’s a shame for him if he has to miss out, he’s been a very important member of our squad. Nothing we can do.”

Celtic are hopeful of making Osdonne’s deal permanent in the summer but failing that, the Tynecastle could have been his last game in a Celtic jersey if the two parties can’t agree on a deal.

  1. So we could lose Edouard,Dembele,Rogic & Armstrong who now only has 12 year left on his contract.
Roberts will probably go back to city as well.
Time to get the cheque book out Celtic though we should get mega bucks for the 3 signed players.
