Celtic B team players Ben Summers and Rocco Vata have been spotted training with the side that’s top of the SPFL. Goalie Tobi Oluwayemi was pictured. He has been with the first team on several occasions this season but is still waiting on his first appearance.
Rocco Vata has been a standout in the Lowland League this season. The 16-year-old, who represents Ireland under-18s, has been on the scoresheet many times this season, assisting his teammates too.
A year older than Vata, Ben Summers has also been highly praised in the Lowland League this season.
Hopefully, both midfielders will be named in the matchday squad.
It’ll be interesting to see the squad that Ange fields. Will he go full strength, or go second string, or will he do a mixture of both?
If the two players make an appearance, they will join the likes of Ben Doak, Joey Dawson and Owen Moffat to make the progression from the B side to the first team. The B side’s captain has also appeared in the first team; Dane Murray played in Celtic’s Champions League qualifiers.
