Celtic take on Dundee Utd on Monday evening hoping to make it to the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

The game gives the bhoys the chance to take a breath from League duties and a bit more freedom for Ange Postecoglou’s selection.

Yes, we want to win the Scottish Cup, but nobody will argue it’s more important than the league.

Monday is a chance to give starts to players who are on the cusp of the first team. I’m not advocating a complete overhaul of the starting XI but sprinkling in some changes could be beneficial to everyone.

That being said, is it now or never got Karamoko Dembele when it comes to a Celtic start this season or even his last ever Celtic start if the winger had made up his mind?

Karamoko scored a double for the B team against Partick Thistle earlier this week and has been on the bench several times for the first team, coming on briefly against St Mirren.

It seems to be the perfect time to give him his first Celtic start of the season. Will it happen? Or has that ship sailed.

  1. It would be a travesty if Karamoko Dembele was to leave Celtic without him being given any real chance at Parkhead. He is miles better than Mikey Johnson imo! We’ve let far too many young talented players slip through the net – Islam Feruz, Aaron Hickey, Leo Hjelde, even KT and Andy Robertson are but a few who come into that category!
