Odsonne Edouard has said it’s ‘amazing’ to be compared to Celtic legend Henrik Larsson as he forged his own Celtic history.
The Frenchman has been called the best since Larsson this season after continuing his incredible form.
The striker has it all, scoring goals and getting assists on a regular basis.
He’s no doubt the best striker in the country and the player has aspirations to be one of the best frontmen in the world.
Right now, as he sits as a Celtic player, Edouard was keen to stress he’s still hungry to win titles for the Celtic support despite speculation elsewhere.
“It’s very flattering but I try not to listen too much to that so that I can focus on the team and helping them to win titles.” Edouard told Record Sport.
“Henrik Larsson is a Celtic legend – when I was little he was one of the best players in Europe so it’s amazing some people compare me to him.”
Edouard was a big reason Celtic won their third consecutive treble last season and is an even bigger reason why we’re going for another.
Celtic fans want to hold onto him for as long as possible.
