ODSONNE EDOUARD has sent a message to the supporters saying he’ll always be grateful for his time at the club and the fantastic memories they made together.

Eddy had some outstanding moments for the club in Glasgow Derbies and cup finals. His final full season was not his best but during our quadruple treble run, the striker was outstanding when he came in.

Speaking about his best moment, the Frenchman highlighted the treble treble cup final where he was the catalyst – the Hoops coming behind from 1-0 down to beat Hearts 2-1 on the day.

Edouard told French TV as cited by RecordSport: “It’s the best feeling, the best, because when you are a player you play to win titles, and score in games like this, and after you win the title, it’s unbelievable.

“I stayed four years there. I have some good memories, some good titles, so always (be grateful for them).”

The striker moved on to Crystal Palace on deadline day – hoping to make it big in the Premier League with the London club being a stepping stone to bigger things.

We wish Eddy all the best for the future, not having Stone Roses over the tannoy on Celtic Park game days will take some getting used to.

  1. Personally I think his biggest highlight at Celtic was walking out the door. He can’t kid us on that leaving a club where you’re guaranteed to be challenging for titles and medals for a relegation battle every season or a mid table finish at best, is the right thing to do. So he can spare me the platitudes as he downed tools big time in his last eighteen months at the club and that’s unprofessional and unforgivable. Was he a good player? Yes, undoubtedly, but he blotted his copy book as far as I’m concerned and while I wish him all the best I can’t forgive him.

    • Well said and about time someone said it. He was a lazy greedy bastard and wished nothing more for his time to come to an end. His only regret was not going for more dough that his £45m buy out clause would have given him. Good riddance and thanks for downsizing.
