Odsonne Edouard couldn’t get on the scoresheet and prevent the French under-21 side from an early exit in their 2-1 loss against the Netherlands in the u21s European Championship.

The Celtic striker started up front for the French side, which is filled to the brim with talent and was likely expected to go all the way in the competition.

However, this evening, they exited at the last-16 stage, losing out in the game’s dying minutes against the Dutch side.

The 23-year old started the game but couldn’t have the impact he would have wanted on the fixture, being subbed off around the 75th-minute mark.

This probably isn’t the end of Edouard’s summer, though, as he prepares to potentially head away to the Olympics with the French National side once again.

Although the talented frontman might be a Celtic player right now, it is doubtful we will see him in the Green and White Hoops again, going into next season.

The sale of Edouard could be key in funding the massive rebuild that the club has this summer.
