Celtic are close to completing a move for St Mirren Midfielder Dylan Reid according to FootballScot.

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Celtic’s move for the talented youngster but admitted this won’t be a first team move.

Postecoglou said: “I think [Dylan Reid] that’s more for our B team.

“Again, I’d love to be the man for everything, but I have limitations in terms of what I’m focused on at the moment.”

Celtic have had a £125k bid accepted for the player but reports claim Rangers may match it for the sought after youngster.

The Bhoys have another year in the highland league to look forward to. They are making plans to really have their B team help feed into the first team. Scouting top young talent and getting them used to Celtic’s system can only be a benefit to the Hoops.

It’s good to see the club are thinking longer term while facilitating Ange and his transfer wishes at first team level.

Tommy McIntyre, Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus will all have a day in getting these players to a place where they can make a first team breakthrough.

A bid has been accepted but as of yet, the deal isn’t done.
