Celtic have confirmed that the club will head to Japan for pre season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

The official announcement was made this morning following two short video clips on Twitter that teased said confirmation.

It is said that the Bhoys will firstly embark upon a European camp before taking part in a week long visit to Japan.

The ‘exciting’ details are due to be announced in the coming days.

Upon the announcement of the tour, Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou told official club media:

“We are really looking forward to our summer tour to Japan, and we’re sure it will be hugely successful for the club and excellent preparation for next season.”

Undoubtedly, all aspects of the trip to Japan are only positive for Celtic.

It will provide the club with even more marketing opportunities as well as chances to grow the fanbase.

Furthermore, trips and tours such as these are made all the more possible with the Hoops’ lack of Champions League qualifiers and the fact they are straight into the groups.
