CELTIC absolutely smashed past Ross County in their return to league duty after the international break.

The bhoys had come off the back of two disappointing away days where they took one point from six before Saturday’s game and bhoy did they make up for it.

Mohamed Elyounoussi got the scoring started early with a goal in the fourth minute but the first half would draw to a close without another goal being scored. This the very definition of a 1-0 hammering as Celtic battered the visitors from pillar to post and were living on borrowed time with off the line clearances and being saved by the woodwork.

If you thought Celtic should have had four or five in the first half you would have been delighted with their blistering start to the second 45 when Edouard was unexpectedly put through on goal and he didn’t need a second invitation to dispatch the ball into the back of the net. Celtic would score another three in the next ten minutes or so to make it 5-0 before they managed another before full time.

Edouard was taken off before he got his hat-trick to preserve him for the Lazio game and the game got disjointed after that.

One big talking point was another mesmerising display by Jeremie Frimpong who assisted for James Forrests goal and was generally a nuisance down the right hand side.
