Hyeongyu Oh is now a Celtic player after weeks of speculation. The 21-year-old K-League striker joins the Scottish Champions and adds to Ange Postecoglou’s January transfer haul.
It appears Giakoumakis will depart the club before the close of the January transfer window, with Oh likely to take his place in the squad.
But what kind of striker are we getting? The K-League have today posted a post to their 100k followers addressing Celtic fans.
The official account shows Hyeon-gyu in full flow, posting up clips of the new Celtic striker in action last September.
👋 Hi there, @CelticFC fans!

If Oh can replicate that sort of form in a Celtic jersey, then we’ll all be happy! The striker has a huge upside and has much room to grow and develop.
It’s a signing that can help Celtic now and bear fruit in the coming years. The bhoys transfer strategy is to buy young, talented players, bring them on and then sell for a considerable profit.
We hope Oh can begin to contribute to the side shortly.
No sliding scale on how Oh will turn out, but if he needs a good midfield to nurture.
He will be successful at Paradise.
