It’s being reported today Hearts are set to lodge an official complaint to the SPFL over the away fan lock out at both Glasgow clubs.

RecordSport revealed the now fan owned Hearts are fuming at the lock out and want answers from the SPFL. The rules state clubs must allow for a reasonable away allocation for all visiting teams.

Celtic have cited the red zone as a major reason why they can’t welcome away fans back in the SPFL.

UEFA guidelines are less intrusive with their interpretation of the red zone which is allowing Celtic to sell tickets to Bayer Leverkusen fans for Thursday’s Europa League tie.

Motherwell are also one of the clubs seeking answers and could lock out Celtic fans after the international break with the Hoops set to visit Fir Park.

We at CeltsAreHere have always been advocating for the club to find a way to let away supporters into the ground. Away fans who want to come to Celtic Park should be afforded the opportunity to do so.

We’ll see how this plays out. If Celtic don’t find a way themselves, will they be forced to do something by the governing body?

  1. Did Hearts not refuse us tickets earlier in season citing preference to their own fans? I’m all for away fans getting in but Hearts in recent times have treated us with disdain. So I suppose it’s a case of fcuk them.
