Celtic have been relatively quiet on social media the past few days. They popped up earlier on Wednesday to engage the supporters in some debate about who has been the best player for the Hoops so far this term.

The bhoys are on a break due to the World Cup but are due back in action on December 17th when they take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

There have been standout players all over the park in different games with everyone doing their bit. It’s really difficult to think of just one stand out player.

However, the Official USA National team with 2.3million followers believe they know the answer, and it;s entirely predictable, but we love it!

The account of course picked their international bhoy Cameron Carter-Vickers as the Celtic stand out. CCVs performances for Celtic over the past 18 months unlocked the key to a World Cup slot in Qatar.

The US managed to get out their group with Cameron playing a big part in the final group game against Iran to get his country into the knockout stages.

It was the only game Cameron played during the winter World Cup. He was dropped back to the bench for the game against Holland. The US were knocked out by the Dutch squad and CCV is currently enjoying some time off before heading back to join his Celtic teammates.

Cameron has been pivotal for Celtic under Ange. Since coming to the club he’s been the foundation needed for Celtic to go out and attack. Signing on a permanent deal in the summer was a master stroke by the club and although the USA national team is clearly biased, they might just be right.
