Oh Hyeon-gyu is looking increasingly likely to join Celtic during this January transfer window [Sky Sports].

Having a look at the profile of the forward he appears to be the exact type of player which Ange Postecoglou looks for.

While at his current club, Suwon Bluewings who played in the K-League he has played in a number of different attacking positions but mainly as a centre forward.

This is something that the manager likes to identify when he is bringing in any player which can be seen by some of his other January recruits as Alistair Johnston and Tomiki Iwata can both play more than one position on the park.

Hyeon-gyu appears to have a bit about him, he is pacy and and can certainly find the back of the net which he will hope to do when making the switch to Glasgow.

Much of the focus this window has been on his fellow countryman Cho Gue-sung and it is interesting that Celtic have continued their search for a striker in South Korea.

Hyeon-gyu is a good few years younger than Gue-sung and like many of the players at Celtic, Postecoglou will be looking to help further his development.

At 21-years-old, this looks like a very sound investment from the club.
