‘He’s made an old donkey like me feel young again’ the words of Joe Hart as he gets set to complete his first season with Glasgow Celtic.

There was some scepticism at the beginning of the season when Celtic opted to bring Joe to the club. It was based on his trajectory since leaving Manchester City – not really making an impact at the club’s he played for and sitting on the bench for Spurs.

All these things seen as negatives were actually positives for Celtic and Joe who would come in to Celtic and take his prior frustrations, flipping them upside down.

Joe has been brilliant for Celtic on the park but also just important off it. Callum McGregor has testified to Joe’s experience and guidance in the dressing room. The Englishman commands respect from the Celtic dressing room and the ‘old donkey’ as Joe calls himself has been a massive reason Celtic are set to become champions.

Speaking to beIn Sports, Joe lavished praise on the Celtic manager and how his move to Celtic has galvanised him. Perhaps thinking his best days were behind him, the goalkeeper says he feels like a kid again.

As signings go, the former England international has been amazing and he’ll deserve his league winners medal when it comes.
