He was only at Celtic for a cup of coffee really before he headed back down south in search of first-team football but Oli burke now finds himself in Spain with West Brom not entertaining the idea of playing the attacker.
Oli is on a season long loan to Alaves where he hopes he can make the breakthrough and start living up to the early promise that won him a move to Leipzig a few years back.
It didn’t twig with us at the time but Oli moving to ALaves meant he was going to link up with another Celtic attacker who spent a season on loan at the club under Ronny Deila.
John Guidetti currently plays with the Spanish side and we only realised when Oli posted a picture alongside John in training.
John had a decent spell at Celtic but thought he was above the club and Scottish game. Not sticking around past the season even though his Manchester City contract came to an end.
The striker is certainly someone who hasn’t lived up to his early career expectations.
