OLIVIER NTCHAM is believed to be about to switch international allegiance in a major u-turn from the Celtic midfielder.

The player has been capped for France Under 21s but there’s no signs of the player making the breakthrough to the first team squad. With that in mind, both his parents are from Cameroon and he’s eligible to play for them. Until he’s capped a t senior level for any one country any player is able to switch if they’re eligible to do so.

It has been revealed the Celtic star is in the provisional line-up for Cameroon’s games against Cape Verde and then Rwanda according to SunSport. Whether that means he’s accepted the call-up or not remains to be seen.

Oli has found first team football hard to come by in recent times for Celtic with Neil Lennon opting not to play him from the start in many games this season. The former Man City man will be hoping to make a breakthrough into the first team in the next couple of months.
