As loan deals go, Olivier Ntcham’s move to France has been a major disappointment.

The Frenchman made it clear he wanted to leave Glasgow and Celtic a long time ago. Who could have envisioned when the Hoops granted his wish he would get even less game time!

Marseille were in action on Friday night but the on-loan Celtic midfielder was not.

Ntcham spent the whole game on the bench as his loan club grabbed a 3-1 away win at Reims.

The French side have been on a decent run of form lately and Oli has not been in their plans at all.

Currently 5th in Ligue 1, there’s no chance of getting any higher for the club, 12 points off fourth spot, but they could fall down the table if they’re not careful.

To date, Ntcham has made just six appearances for the club totalling 207 minutes. It’s clear the player has no future at Marseille. Given the midfielder is not keen on a Celtic return, what’s next for the former Europa League hero?

What sort of asking price can we get for Oli now? TranferMarkt have him valued at just £3.15m. It’s a far cry from the touted fees two summers ago.

  1. He might come back with a bit of humility and self-awareness that he ain’t all that. Maybe he’ll knuckle down for a season or two at CP before leaving for a decent fee? Or, as I think is more likely, if he doesn’t like whoever our new manager ends up being he’ll go back to not trying his erse and being an arrogant waste of space…

I kind of think we should just take whatever we can get and just get him out the door along with all the rest who no longer wish to be at Celtic. We don’t need their bad attitudes stinking up the joint.
