The Scottish Champions were first linked to the Gambian international last weekend but it now appears there are more suitors down south, in for the Sampdoria defender

As reported by Inside Futbol, Italian news outlet Secolo XIX are claiming Celtic are currently €4 million away from Sampdoria’s current asking price, with Neil Lennon’s side willing to pay €6 million.

This has meant that the Premier League side are ready to step in with an offer, making an inquiry for Colley.

They are reportedly ready to offer money, plus Adrien Silva in exchange for the central defender. This could go in their favour, as the current Sampdoria boss, is former Leicester manager, Claudio Ranieri.

With many sides in for Colley, it shows the quality he must posses. If the club are desperately wanting the defender, they are going to need to pay the money and fast, to get their man.

Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation around Norwegian Kristoffer Ajer and his future at the club. So it will be interesting to see how this situation develops over the next few weeks.
