On-loan Celtic midfielder Ewan Henderson has scored his first goal for Dunfermline, in their 3-1 victory over Queen of the South.

The 21-year old secured the three points for the Pars, scoring in stoppage time to make it 3-1 against Championship play-off rivals Queen of the South.

In recent weeks, Dunfermline has been struggling for form, with their last win coming on the 13th of March.

Henderson has played six games since joining the Fife side at the end of last month, making four starts and a further two appearances off the bench. This is of course, also the Pars first victory with the Celtic loanee in the side.

It has been a difficult campaign for the Hoops youngster, who made just three appearances for Celtic this season, all coming off the bench. One of which was against European opposition, Lille, in a game that he actually impressed but was rarely seen again.

Henderson’s contract at the club comes to an end next summer, so this loan and going into the summer feels like a huge period for him at the club, to see if he has a future at Parkhead going forward.
