Celtic are set to welcome Maryan Shved to training for the next two weeks as the winger gets to know his new teammates before the summer break. Shved coming just days after Timothy Weah was shown the door by Neil Lennon.

Maryan has now confirmed he’s in Glasgow and is getting ready for life at Celtic and WILL train with them as well as look for a home.

Speaking to RecordSport on Monday afternoon the midfielder said:

“I have already received a UK work visa in Paris and arrived in Glasgow, where I will look for a house as well as begin to train with Celtic.

“I said goodbye to the guys at Karpaty although I will return in two weeks after the end of the Scottish season.”I can’t wait to get started at Celtic and introduce myself to my new team mates.”

The midfield dynamo has come a little earlier than expected after missing out on Karpat’s final game of the season due to being sent off the game prior. Shved was disappointed his career with the Ukranian side ended the way it did.

“My last game was Karpaty was really disappointing. One of the bookings was for dissent, but the ref made a serious mistake and didn’t give a handball. The second yellow card, I tried to pull out of a tackle, but it was too late.

“It was a real pity my farewell should be like that.”

Maryan has many Celtic fans excited by his potential after seeing many videos of the young winger strutting his stuff in Ukraine.

With Celtic in need of freshening up and some new and hungry players, he could be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Shved will be in Scotland for the next two weeks before flying back to Ukraine to tie up loose ends from there.
