ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC has never been shy about his ability and his social media presence, along with famous interviews don’t paint him as a modest individual.

At 39, the Swedish striker is still referring to himself in the third person and talking up his own ability of which he still has plenty.

Speaking about the upcoming tie with Celtic in Glasgow, the well-travelled striker says he’s disappointed the supporters will not be in the ground on the night; making the claim, Zlatan deserves the Celtic supporters and the Celtic supporters deserve Zlatan.

“Celtic is one of the great atmospheres and great stadiums of Europe. Zlatan deserves to play in front of the Celtic fans and the Celtic fans deserve to be able to see Zlatan play live,” he told RecordSport.

“I have played in a full Celtic stadium before and I wanted to experience it again.

“With the way the world is at the moment that is not going to be possible – but maybe I will get another chance again.”

The charismatic forward’s attitude doesn’t rub everyone the right way but he certainly keeps things interesting. Celtic will have to be at their best to try and stop the Swede from scoring inside an empty Celtic Park.

The Europa League is still a place Celtic should be looking to make in-roads. After topping their group last year, they went out to a very average Copenhagen side, which was frustrating to say the very least.
