Celtic and nine other SPFL clubs have been vindicated for voting to bring the winter break forward in order to allow fans to return to stadiums for vital fixtures.

Nicola Sturgeon announced today to parliament all restrictions on mass outdoor sporting events can go ahead encumbered by restrictions around spectators. Music to the ears of thousands of Celtic fans and Scottish football supporters.

Fans will return to the stadium for vital Hibs match

Celtic voted for an early winter break, logic being on their side, while the Ibrox club voted against doing so. Had they go their way, the Glasgow Derby would have gone ahead in an empty stadium. We now have fans back and football can continue as normal.

Football without fans is nothing, a great man utter those words many years ago and they’ve never rung truer than in the last two years.

We had a whole year of fans locked out of stadiums and nobody benefitted apart from one certain club who did rather well without their fanbase.

Historically, Celtic have always gained confidence and got some outstanding results thanks to the backing of the Celtic support.

We are delighted we will be back in on Monday to cheer on the bhoys against Hibernian!
