Celtic are well known for throwing out birthday messages to players both old and current on social media.
The club do it to a fault sometimes and deliver birthday wishes when fans have their back up by the lack of communication otherwise.
Last season, fans were filling the club’s timeline with not so kind comments.
We couldn’t help but notice today Celtic fell silent when it came to Boli Bolingoli’s birthday.
The Belgian defender is still under contract with the club but hasn’t been seen at training. Boli spent last season out on loan in Turkey with Istanbul Basaksehir, but the option was not taken up to keep him there. [RecordSport]
His status with Celtic or if he has a future after last seasons rule break is unclear. Boli broke strict rules to fly out of the country for the night during lockdown. He has been in the bad books ever since.
It’s not like the club was silent today – they even wished everyone a happy Canada day!
Is this a sign the club are allowing the player to seek a new team?
They didn’t really acknowledge Jack Hendry this summer before they confirmed his exit.
