Ange is in the building and he’s been taking training, he will have no doubt spent hours of his isolation signing into Celtic’s instant account and watching all of the players he has at his disposal and their strengths and weaknesses.

After his media day on Friday, we were no closer to finding out what the future holds for Leigh Griffiths. The new manager didn’t rule Leigh out, but just as important, he didn’t rule the striker in.

Leigh’s deal is days away from running out, the frontman will be able to sign for any team that fancies taking a punt on the Scottish frontman.

If Ange was convinced about Leigh and his ability to help the team by what he’s seen from clips and heard from the staff at lennoxtown, why are we still waiting on an outcome?

Leigh has a career to be getting on with and there will be a point when the forward decided enough is enough, but who will blink first?

If Celtic can identify some striking targets in the coming days, they might just cut Leigh loose.

If I was a betting man, I’d say Leigh’s Celtic career looks over, but you never know.

  1. I don’t think Leighs comments about Neil Lennon have helped his case one little bit.
Managers expect a certain degree of loyalty, even the rat showed that with Commons after his disgraceful disrespect towards RD.
