Former Ibrox striker, Kris Boyd has been on Sky Sports talking about Celtic again – claiming to be in the know about what the club is up to.

In reality, the monster munch chomping player turned pretend-y pundit has no idea what’s going on at the club.

Boyd is part of a bigger problem at Sky Sports Scotland who seem to employ some of the worst pundits in the game to talk down our game mostly.

With regards to his latest Celtic musings, Boyd tells Sky Sports Celtic are in the market for another striker but made the assertion Lawrence Shankland wouldn’t be that guy.

“Celtic are definitely in the market for another striker.” Boyd told Sky Sports, as cited by SunSport.

“They would be pleased with Leigh Griffiths getting a start on Saturday and getting back on the scoresheet but I think Celtic have more of less said they are interested in another striker.

“Does Lawrence Shankland suit [Celtic]..I’m not quite sure.

“There is no doubt there will be people interested in him. He scores goals for fun but he’s at a big club right now in Dundee United as well.”

Celtic brought in Patryk Kilmala this month and started leigh Griffiths against Partick Thistle on Saturday evening with the frontman scoring.

If Celtic play two up top on a regular basis then Celtic might want another striker in. However, it’s unlikely Lennon will stick to a midfield diamond with the two front men.

Boyd knows nothing about our club but gets paid to talk about it, not bad work if you can get it.
