Before the game against Lazio Olivier Ntcham seemed to be getting less and less game time under Neil Lennon. On his day Ntcham can play some of the most incredible passes and contribute to play like nobody else on the pitch. When he’s off it, Ntcham is a frustrating figure.

During the summer the player did an interview about potentially leaving Celtic before the end of the summer window. This was something which was talked about between Neil Lennon and Olivier when he returned from his summer break.

At the time, Neil Lennon drew a line under it and when Ntcham has been called upon he’s done very well. The Celtic boss is a big fan of the player, so much so he tried to wedge Oli into the side by displacing Callum McGregor – something the Celtic manager found out doesn’t work.

With the Frenchman coming on against Lazio and scoring that famous winner his stock is high again and doing it in front of a European audience won’t hurt his value.

Will Celtic be tempted to cash in on the player to try for other targets or will Neil Lennon insist Ntcham stays.

It depends how Ntcham is feeling and if there’s sufficient interest. The rumours of Porto and Marseille being interested in the player has seemed to die down but there was once talk of a £14m move.

I’d personally prefer Celtic holding onto the player!
