BOLI BOLINGOLI looked to have a road back into the team after was named to start against Livingston, the first time since he broke the quarantine rules upon return from Spain in 2020.

He played well and left many fans expecting the Belgian to be in and around the first team however, that has not been the case.

Since Livingston, Bolingoli has only featured one more time and that was a start against Motherwell. He has been missing from the squad ever since until the boxing day win, however, a rumoured COVID breakout could explain why he was on the bench.

After arriving at Celtic for a fee of about £3 million it is time for Celtic Transfermarkt values the player at £1 million, but I believe the club will be open to offers of under seven figures for the 26-year-old whose contract expires next year.

For a position where Celtic are not gifted with quality, Bolingoli could have made the spot his own under Ange with the full-back looking good on the front foot. There must have been something happening behind the scenes to stop the player from getting minutes on the pitch.
