There are nine games left of this season, the bhoys will not land ten in a row and the summer will hail big changes at the club going forward.

That being said, have we already seen the last of some players in a Celtic jersey.

One man who might not get much more game time, if any, appears to be Diego Lazalt.

The AC Milan defender came into Celtic and earned rave reviews but his performances veered off and have diminished to the point Greg Taylor coming back in was the right call.

The Uruguayan failed to make one assist in his run in the Celtic first team, for a Celtic left-back, it’s not been good enough.

The team have only won eight times where Diego started the game. Starting every Europa League game, the one win came against Lille in a dead rubber.

He’s not to blame for all the poor results but it was clear he wasn’t contributing as much as he should’ve been.

His personal good start to his Celtic career didn’t coincide with a winning run and it took Diego’s fifth game with the bhoys to land a win during that horrible run between September and October.

There have been glimpses of a player in there but the defender will go back to his parent club with no hint of a permanent deal being talked about.

If Taylor stays fit, we might have already seen the last of Diego.

  1. One of our better players this season yet bumped from the team for Greg Taylor. Dont think Taylor will signing for Milan anytime soon.
Laxalt should have been given an extended run and with improvement in his final ball could have been a long term LB solution
