Celtic failed to land anyone on Friday night with deadline day looming and the approach on the day seems pretty amateur for a club the size of Celtic.
The club brought in Patryk Klymala and Ismaila Sor in earlier in the window and it was no secret the Celtic manager wanted experience to go along with the exuberant youth of the two 21-year-old signings.

The scattergun approach to Celtic’s transfer window and specifically deadline day has irked me no end. The Utrecht chairman has added to the Celtic deadline day shambles by confirming the club made a concrete approach for their winger Gyrano Kerk.
Frans van Seumeren told SunSport Celtic had made moves to sign the winger, but they never managed to agree on a fee.
“Lots of clubs asked about Kerk, but they never turned into actual offers. “The only club who made a concrete bid was Celtic.
“I’m surprised we did not receive more interest to be honest because he is a player who is constantly a threat and involved in most of our goals.”
It’s quite embarrassing, and if our CEO has any shame, he’ll be hiding under his bed this morning.
To all the people who refuse to criticise anything the club does, we have seen Peter continuously not build from a position of strength. It’s caught up with us before, and it’s going to catch up with us again. Fans have the foresight to see us sleepwalking into dangerous territory. We have the power to win nine in a row, but it could have been a much easier road under better circumstances.
