Celtic entered into a five year deal with worldwide sports brand Adidas.
The club announced the deal hours before Scottish football was shutdown because of the Covid-19 outbreak.
Celtic are still currently under contract with New Balance but that deal officially expires at the end of June. Adidas come into play on July 1 this year and right now the surprising twist is – the next time Celtic play, it could be in an Adidas kit!
If games can’t go ahead in the coming months then the bhoys have already played their last game in the New Balance jerseys. If the season went beyond June and we were allowed to finish the games over the summer, Celtic could lift the title in Adidas gear.
We’re unsure of the timeframe for Adidas announcing the new Celtic home kit with everything that’s going on but this summer is likely going to be spent keeping a watchful eye on the first kit dropping.
Celtic fans are excited about the deal and the potential of Adidas making some memorable designs.
